FRIENDS OF DEIGHTON NEWS

We held our AGM yesterday 4^th February, Thank you to all those who attended. We have now elected our committee for the coming year.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped us this year, whether it’s been helping at our events, attending or allowing your children to attend events or making or donating items. With your help we have raised a fantastic £4600.

This money has helped support the school. We have purchased an adventure trail for the foundation phase which will be installed this month, funded the year 6 leavers party, Christmas gifts for all children, part funded bus trips for the whole school and purchased sports equipment.

Next meeting will be held on Tuesday  4th March at  3.15pm. 

We are holding our meetings on the 1^st Tuesday of every month, unless it falls in the holidays. Hopefully this then gives people plenty of notice to attend.

Easter Events

Thank you to all parents who helped organise the Easter disco. It was enjoyed by all children.
The readathon went well too, and we appreciate your sponsor money.
Our non-uniform day was today which also raised the total of ... £1,132.
FANTASTIC! WELL DONE EVERYBODY!

They all received eggs today.
The raffle was also drawn today and winners took prizes home.

Don't forget to dress up for World Book Day on Thursday and our read-a-thon to raise money which goes straight back to the children.
Easter raffle, competitions and disco have been arranged - dates to follow.

Deighton's PTA are looking for members. We had our initial meeting today where we voted on a new committee. If you would like to be involved please contact the school as we would like as many parents on board as possible. Everybody is welcome.
